The MacArthur Sewer Construction Project replaced aging infrastructure originally built in 1960. This project enhanced pipeline reliability and improved operational and maintenance safety to meet current and future demands.

All major construction activities for this project have now been completed.

Project Description

The OC San MacArthur Sewer Improvements Project will construct two new pressurized sewer pipelines, or force mains, along 1/3-mile of right-of-way on MacArthur Blvd. in the City of Newport Beach. Additionally, this Project will abandon about 1/2-mile of pipe that is no longer needed and modify an existing access structure located at the intersection of Birch Street and MacArthur Blvd. Work will also occur at the OC San MacArthur Pump Station. Construction is slated to take approximately one year to complete.
